Mayra I Echevarria

Mayra I. Echevarría has a master's degree in Sociology from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras. She also completed her bachelor's degree in the same discipline at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez. Her interests are in the family, couple relationships, gender inequalities, social justice, urban transportation, and the environment. Her professional experience has been as a researcher, coach, and educator. She has worked with non-profit organizations, in the private sector, and the public educational system. She holds a Social Studies and Transitional Bilingual Program teacher license in Illinois and has extensive experience as a theater actress in her native Puerto Rico. She is about to start studies in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
